Some Tank heroes are real bodyguards and have the ability to jump in front of an attack on an ally.

Heroes
The following heroes have or can inflict/apply Protect:
Vital Vigilance (Special Attack): This hero prepares to defend target ally. The next 3 times they are attacked, he will block the attack, preventing damage for BOTH heroes. After defending, he will make a revenge attack for [100%-250%] damage (% increases with level). Can't be stolen, purged of copied.
Goblin Alliance (Trait): +10% DEF and 10% Max HP for each Goblin or Ogre ally and will jump in front of any single target attack targeting a Goblin ally.
Vigilance (Special Attack): Enters a defensive stance in which he has a chance to jump in front of any ally being attacked, with a chance to parry and halve the attacker's CRIT.
Courageous Knight (Trait): Immune to Fear and will jump in front of a single-target attack that would be a killing blow against an ally.
