Gold Island Cover

About

Map Gold Island

This dungeon entices adventurers with the promise of gold, which is a commodity for players to level up their Hero abilities. They'll have to traverse the islands inhabited by Dwarves-those that always hit their mark and those that set themselves up on fire. The great thing about these dungeons is that it does not require any energy cost to enter. But choose carefully-you can only enter a dungeon once per day and will be locked out, whether the dungeon is completed successfully or not. So sharpen your blades and be prepared to clash against the final boss! He will surprise you with his axe-juggling skills!

Dungeon Strategy

With the first gold island level at the recommended party level 30, this will not be an easy first battle for player levels in their early twenties. Thus a strategy is developed to help prepare adventurers and to get them the gold that they strive for!

Secret Stash1

Recommended level: 30

Adventurers that embark on this dungeon will run into a mix of Cavern Dwarf Warriors and Rubyfist Scholars. The former enemy is Dark based, and his favorite attacks are Skull Crackers (hitting the same target up to 3 times) and Burning Skin (buffing an ally of theirs with immunity to fire attacks and a chance to burn other melee attackers). These guys will hit hard, so bring a healer and keep up your heroes' health as you navigate through each room. The latter enemy is Fire based, and he can also apply the Burning skin effect on to his allies. They have significantly more health, so take them down with any Water heroes or Dwarf hunter heroes like Jabber Clenchjaw

Beware of taunting him!

The final boss Prince Belgar Firebeard will unleash attacks like Skull Crackers. This attack will potentially kill off one of your heroes due to his consistent critical hits. All dwarves have the Perfect Swing passive, which means Dazing and evading them will not prevent them from landing a hit. Use attacks that freeze or weaken their ATK and DEF like Stone Fist. Likewise, you can increase your party's DEF with Yokozuna's Sumo Stomp, Samurai Takumi's Guarding Strike, or other heroes with DEF up buffs. Prince Belgar Firebeard will also set your party members on fire with his Burning Chop (a single target melee Fire based attack with a high chance to inflict Burn), and he will heal himself upon attacking burning targets. He has the Challenge Accepted passive, which deals 2x damage to any taunting enemy. This makes it much more difficult for heroes that rely on being a tank. For this battle, you can choose to taunt him as long as your healers have a way to mitigate that increased damage. Yasmin Bloom's Aegis Shield and Cure Wounds can focus healing and removing burning effects from your tank, making her a reliable healer for this fight.

Secret Stash boss1

Prince Belgar's ability to steal life.

The difficulty of each dungeon level increases due to their higher star ranking and increased level. However, the strategy to defeat them remains the same. At higher levels, you will want to use Selwyn the Enduring or IGOROK to freeze them and inflict massive multiplier damage. Inflicting DEF down or Diseased status effects will cripple their offensive abilities, making it easier to survive in battle. Use Burning or Poison damage over time abilities to help wittle down their life. Be sure to use your friend's champion, especially Tsume's soul shred to remove those burning skin buffs or Archangel Emily for those free resurrections. If you have problems fending off Prince Belgar, use King Yorick's Mark of Death or Lupina's Chaos Howl for a speedy kill.
